The Ottawa South Conservation Association (OSCA) is a volunteer organization that depends on your donations to promote Conservative values in Ottawa South and to fund our candidate’s federal election campaign.

Donations to OSCA are put to use at the LOCAL level, whereas donations to the National Party are generally used for national campaigns. If you want to make a difference here in Ottawa South, please donate directly to OSCA.

As a registered electoral district association (EDA), OSCA issues tax receipts for all donations.

HOW TO MAKE A DONATION:

OSCA offers three options for donating to our organization:

1. Online payment via PayPal:

NOTE: Online donations are subject to the same limits and requirements as explained below. Failure to follow prescribed donation procedures will result in your donation being returned.

2. Via regular mail:

3) Fill in your information; and,
4) Mail the form back to us with your payment.

3. OSCA Victory Fund:

The Victory Fund is a monthly contribution made automatically from your credit card or bank account. It allows you to instantly donate a predetermined amount each month, which saves both you and us time and money. It’s also the green option, so enter the information below to get started!

 TAX BENEFIT GUIDE:
Your donation to OSCA qualifies for a tax credit on your federal income taxes! You can receive a tax credit valued at 75% of your first $400 donated, 50% on the next $350, and 1/3 on any further donation. To illustrate this concept in dollar values, please see our tax benefit guide below.

INFORMATION ON DONATIONS:
We record your donations for each calendar year and send you a receipt for your donation the following year (usually in February). This will allow you to receive your tax refund prior to doing your income tax for the year. All donations to your riding association are recorded and reported by the riding’s financial agent, as well as the national party’s chief financial agent.

You are able to donate up to $1,200 per calendar year to a federal riding association. In addition, you may donate a further $1,200 to the national party. During a national election, you may donate an additional $1,200 to the campaign. Regardless of the amount, every little bit counts, and OSCA appreciates your support.

OSCA can only accept personal donations from Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Under Elections Canada rules, corporate donations can no longer be accepted. If making a payment by cheque or credit card, please ensure you are paying with a personal cheque or a personal credit card. Corporate cheques and business credit cards cannot be accepted.  

HOW DONATIONS ARE USED:
The Ottawa South Conservative Association uses your donation to fund election campaigns, as well as riding association activities and events.

A small part of your donation is also used to pay for OSCA’s annual expenses, such as for web hosting, phone lines, mailouts, and the promotion of our events. Our overhead costs are low and OSCA’s Board of Directors works diligently to keep OSCA’s expenses to a minimum in order to maximize the amount we provide to our federal candidate’s election campaign. 

Remember, when you donate to OSCA, you are making a donation to support Conservative activities in Ottawa South directly, whereas donations to the national party are generally used on national campaigns. Please help your grassroot Conservatives and donate to us directly.
