Join us for our fourth semi-annual road cleanup

Join us for our fourth semi-annual road cleanup as a part of the City of Ottawa’s Cleaning the Capital Campaign!

Saturday, May 10, 2014
11:00am to 1:00pm
Meeting in the parking lot of Cora’s Restaurant, 2629 Alta Vista Drive.

In 2012 OSCA adopted a 2.5 kilometre stretch of Alta Vista Drive, from Edge Hill Place to Pleasant Park Drive. We feel this is an excellent way to give back to our community, contributing to making Ottawa South a cleaner, safer, greener community.

We need volunteers to help with making these efforts a success! Your efforts will be significant in making our community a cleaner and safer one!

All volunteers will be provided with gloves and garbage bags. We suggest wearing some old clothes appropriate for the weather and of course a Conservative blue tshirt!

The City of Ottawa holds two “Cleaning the Capital” campaigns each year: once in the fall and once in the spring. Organizations are responsible for cleaning their adopted road or park, which includes trash removal, reporting graffiti and unsafe equipment, planting trees, setting up and painting new furniture, and general maintenance of those areas. For more information on the campaign, visit http://www.ottawa.ca/clean.
